As I get older it becomes harder to remember things. Last night I walked into the kitchen only to forget the reason I headed in that direction. Laurie walked in on me when I had my hand on my head and working hard to remember. Good thing she can read my thoughts or at least heard the conversation between my 8 year old daughter and I. I was heading to get the cat to put on her bed for the night.
Is it any surprise then when we think about how forgetful we can be that Yahweh sets up reminders for us to remember Him and the things He has done for us?
He set His bow in the sky after the flood.
He told Joshua to set up stones after crossing the flooded Jordan River
Hey, How about the one in Exodus where He actually tells His people to specifically remember something He thought was very special.
The SABBATH.
Why? would He tell us to Remember the Sabbath? Did He know we would forget? Did He know the right day would be changed by pagan people?
Laurie just recently sent me a free kindle book to read. Wow, this is about something I totally forgot. This will make a dramatic difference in my life. The book is called "God Built" by Steve Farrar. This takes into account the life of Joseph.
Now, let me back up a few years. Several years ago now I gave up some things that were a very deep part of my life and existance. So, from that point on I have kinda been in limbo. I have some goals and desires but have just kind of floated through life. Now, Laurie had no idea what this book was about when she sent it to me. So I will give you some thoughts that have hit me hard.
Yahweh is in control and in charge of all things. That does not mean that those evil, bad things that happen were ordained by Him but He allows those things to take place if people choose them. What He does do is turn them to His good.
om 8:27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the set-apart ones according to Elohim.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all matters work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to His purpose. Rom 8:29 Because those whom He knew beforehand, He also ordained beforehand to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, for Him to be the first-born among many brothers. Rom 8:30 And whom He ordained beforehand, these He also called, and whom He called, these He also declared right. And whom He declared right, these He also esteemed. Rom 8:31 What then shall we say to this? If Elohim is for us, who is against us? Rom 8:32 Truly, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up on behalf of us all – how shall He not, along with Him, freely give us all else? Rom 8:33 Who shall bring any charge against Elohim’s chosen ones? It is Elohim who is declaring right. Rom 8:34 Who is he who is condemning? It is Messiah who died, and furthermore is also raised up, who is also at the right hand of Elohim, who also makes intercession for us. Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of the Messiah? Shall pressure, or distress, or persecution, or scarcity of food, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Rom 8:36 As it has been written, “For Your sake we are killed all day long, we are reckoned as sheep of slaughter.” Rom 8:37 But in all this we are more than overcomers through Him who loved us. Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor messengers nor principalities nor powers, neither the present nor the future, Rom 8:39 nor height nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of Elohim which is in Messiah יהושע our Master.
Heb 1:3 who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high, Col 1:17 And He is before all, and in Him all hold together. Joh 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. Joh 1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Psa 23:1 יהוה is my shepherd; I do not lack. Psa 23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. Psa 23:3 He turns back1 my being; He leads me in paths of righteousness For His Name’s sake. Well, we are coming to that time of year where those in "churchianity" blindly celebrate EASTER.
For those of you wondering why I say blindly, I would recommend you do some research into the pagan roots of Easter. It was celebrated long before Messiah was on the scene.
Now, what you should be celebrating is Passover. There is a very big difference here folks.
Easter this year will be this coming Sunday. However, Passover will not be until next month.
It is the first month of the Hebrew year and will be 14 days after the next new moon.
Let me exhort you to be a Berean and search out for yourselves the truth of the matter.
Well, I guess this would descibe me for the last several years. Thank you Laurie for sending me this link. Just some quick notes and by the way, let me encourage you to read the total text of this link.
I attribute it
to the fact that when you praised God for what you didn’t like, when you
thanked God for what you didn’t like, you brought God into the negative, and
you released His power to work.”
But no one can tame the tongue, it is a restless evil and
full of deadly poison. With it, we bless our Lord and Father, (we speak well of
our Lord and Father) and with it, we curse men (we do not speak well of men and
women) who have been made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come both
blessing (speaking well of) and cursing (not speaking well of). My brethren,
these things ought not to be this way.”
Romans 1:17 (ESV)

God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall
live by faith.”
a relationship in my life on a scale of 0 to 10, with 0

was in the deep freeze. It was awful. I thought, "Well, I’ve got
everything to gain and nothing to lose
ask the Lord for His power to
restrain your lips from cursing in this situation? Ask Him to give you words
that encourage, words that express gratitude, words that reflect your hope that
God can infuse life into that situation
I would like to say thank you for your input as far as the renovation of our camper. The flooring problem I think can be solved the way that one of our readers has recommended. I really appreciate this input as it helps to change the way we think about things. I am going to look into the possibility of putting 1/4 inch paneling on the floor. I think I remember something about a hard coat finish that might be able to be applied or a gym floor finish.
I am also looking into putting solar collectors on the top so we can travel without having to rely upon electric hookup. I had thought about a solar emergency station but was told it would not be what I was looking for. After doing just a little research I think I can build a system for the same or just a little bit more than what I had been looking at. The costs can be recouped in less that 6 months of use and not having to stop at places to hook up to their electric.
Another of our readers has asked if we ever saw a TV show where a family went and traveled using a camper to do ministry. Promised Land, I think it was.
I guess this is a part of why we are going to do this. We have absolutely no idea where it is that Yahweh is leading us. So, if you would desire to join with us in prayer, here are some requests.
1. We will be ready to go at His time
2. Strength to get things done
3. That we will be able to sell our things
4. That He will provide for our travel
5. That He will lead us and guide to those He desires us to cross paths with
6. That He will provide for us to purchase the items to remodel and renovate the camper.
7. That He will give wisdom in the purchase of what we will need for homeschooling in the coming years as we travel.
And once again we would appreciate any comments and suggestions to help us think outside the traditional box.
This will be our home in a few weeks. We lived in this 32 foot long camper for about 4 weeks last year starting at the feast of Tabernacles. It was during this time that we began to make changes that would help us in our living arrangements.
As you enter into the front door there is a small living area that the couch here makes into a queen size bed. There is a cover over these windows that opens up. There is storage space above and below. Laurie is planning on recovering the cushions. To the left is more storage and windows.
We took out the small table that folded down and
had leaves to make it longer and then put in some shelves.
This is what Laurie will use for the cushion covers.
Moving toward the back of the camper on the other side of the door is the kitchen and eating area. The table folds down into another bed. You can also see the carpet that we would like to replace with some flooring that does not need to be vacuumed At the back of the eating area is a mirror where we will hang the family portrait I painted.
This is the corner of the living area. The water purifier will sit on the corner cabinet and we added shelves above and to the side. On the back side of the shelves we placed a large marker board for school and organization.
Here we are looking back toward the bathroom, closet and master bedroom area. Above the master bed is an area for a bunk with an access door that is open.
From the master bedroom we can look back and see the marker board in the dining area and also look to the back and see the entrance for three bunks. Just after the back door is another closet area where I have added shelves. We also added shelves before the door in the hall. Laurie is also talking about using the same material to make curtains dividing the master bedroom off on both sides from the bathroom and from the three bunk area. Right now there is a folding partition on both sides.
This is the back. I have added ladders for access to both bunks and bed rails. Also our camp chairs are currently here. We are going to look into measurements to put in a full size mattress and then use either the upper or lower area for more storage.
In the bathroom I have put shelves in the tub/shower area.
This had been a closet across from the bath. I have put in shelves for our clothes.
So, If you have any thoughts as to how we can have more space and make more arrangements we would be delighted in hearing them.
Ok, so we want to replace the carpet in the trailer with wood flooring so we don't have to have a vacuum on hand to clean things. We want to be able to sweep the floor.
I bought some flooring at Home Depot yesterday and Laurie read the instructions today. We can't have temperatures fluctuating lower than 58 degrees without the possibility of the floor ending up with problems.
So, we are back to square one with what to do about the floor. Perhaps vinyl? Anyone have any suggestions for us. We want something that will be durable and clean up easy.
What would you do if something you believe from Scripture didn't line up with the totality of Scripture? What would you do if your theology doesn't agree with Scripture? Would you seek out truth as the Bereans? Would you be willing to change what and how you believe?
Well, we have friends in Illinois and Georgia, people we would like to see in Michigan, Ohio and N Carolina. Perhaps you too would like to see us. Please let us know as we have no travel agenda in mind.
