Preparing for Wedding Pictures

Well Sarah's wedding is only days away.  A little over a week ago Laurie took Sarah to town a couple days in a row.  On the first day they spent time looking for modest dresses.  This is supposed to be an informal small wedding for a few family members and friends.  They found absolutely nothing that was modest.  So they took a second day and looked at patterns to make a dress.  Again a very long search to find something that would be modest.  They finally settled on a pattern from Germany in the costume section.  Picked out some very pretty material to go with it and then we celebrated the Sabbath.

A refreshing time to get our bearings before we begin the final preparations for the wedding.
Sunday morning was upon us before we wanted it to begin.  I settled in for a double work day at the farm and Laurie began to get things around for a marathon of sewing.
Seeing how I had Monday off from work, Laurie decided we needed to obtain necessary items for the wedding and stuff to make dresses for all the girls.
So we loaded up the van and headed into town.

The first stop was the Paper Place for plates, napkins and what-nots
Sarah's choice of plates

This is not going to happen.  I will become the fashion police and put my foot down.  We will not have kitty plates for a wedding.

Let's just color coordinate with Sarah's wedding colors.
Now, make sure and double check mom's list.

After a couple of stores it is time for some lunch and letting go of excess energy.  We found a nice park, ate lunch and then had some play time.
Michaelle here had so much energy.

wheeeeeee!!!!

OK Esther, it's your turn.  Don't worry, I'll catch you.  Trust me!

Help meeeeee!!

Hey, Dad's got the camera out again!

Sarah spent time helping the little ones have some fun

No, I don't think we can say just a couple of dizzy blonds here.
Carrie, wait for me!!!

Hey a tunnel slide.  Let's go.  Michaelle don't hit your head at the top like you did at the park in Redwood Falls.

I'm not going up there.   I'll wait down here for you to come out at the bottom

One

Two. Gotta be Jennella, you just can't miss those shoes.

Three
I still have some more energy let's go over there.
Wait for me.  I'm coming too.

Charisa's beautiful smile.

Now it's time to head out to the Fabric Ware house for patterns and material for the girls.

This is tough finding one we all like.  You do it.

I'm getting bored mom.

let's see.  Do you like this one?
OK, let's start picking out some material.

Oh, Michaelle it's perfect!

Mom, are you really sure about that?
Yes, Michaelle, it's really you.  It will look
great!!

Meanwhile back at the pattern book table we are still having some trouble finding the perfect pattern

The little ones became bored but were able to find something to entertain themselves for awhile.

Over all it was a fantastic trip with everyone involved.  The girls found some beautiful material and dress pattern that would work for everyone.

At the end of the day everyone was exhausted but more excited about the coming wedding or perhaps about having new dresses.
Stay tuned for more pictures of dresses and wedding preparations.

Amazing Answer to Prayer

Luk 18:35 And it came to be, that as He was coming near Yeriḥo, that a certain blind man was sitting by the way begging.
Luk 18:36 And hearing a crowd passing by, he asked what it meant.
Luk 18:37 And they reported to him that יהושע of Natsareth was passing by.
Luk 18:38 And he cried out, saying, "יהושע, Son of Dawiḏ, have compassion on me!"
Luk 18:39 And those going before were rebuking him that he should be silent, but he was crying out much more, "Son of Dawiḏ, have compassion on me!"
Luk 18:40 And יהושע stopped and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him,
Luk 18:41 saying, "What do you wish Me to do for you?" And he said, "Master, to receive my sight."

Luk 18:42 And יהושע

said to him, "Receive your sight! Your belief has saved you.
We read this passage yesterday morning at breakfast.

Our Daughter has had a mild form of Aspurger's syndrome for years.  During the onset of puberty it became much worse.  We had her in therapy and some counseling for awhile but didn't make much progress.  It was difficult for her to control actions, and noises and vibrations really bothered her.  All of her senses were very heightened.  We were very concerned as it affected her whole life and how she wasn't able to be around people she didn't know.  We didn't know what to do that would be helpful to her.  So we and others in our family have been praying for her.  She had an overwhelming desire to be like others for years but was unable to make the changes necessary.
A few weeks ago we were visited by friends from Israel, Abram and Ruti.
Abram heads up seedofabrham.net.
Ruti had made mention to Laurie that she has ministered to children with Autism with some very good success.  I believe that Laurie mentioned this to our daughter at some point.  Then yesterday happened.  Yesterday as our daughter was working on accomplishing her chores she cried out to Yahveh with a heart filled with anguish.  She mentioned she was tired of being this way and desired to be "normal".  She asked Yahveh to do for her what He had done for the children that Ruti ministered to.  She believed with faith that He would bring healing to her as we had read in Luke about the blind man.
Well, we are amazed at the blessing Yahveh has bestowed upon us through our daughter.  She said as she prayed she felt a warmness all over and since then has gone skipping and laughing through the whole house.  She has a radiance about her that she never had before.  She has been healed through her faith in Yashua answering her prayer.  Her senses are not heightened the way they had been.  She has control where before there wasn't any.  She says she feels like a different person, like she is in another world.  She is excited about the coming months as we will be traveling and meeting relatives she hasn't seen in years and meeting new people where before there was fear and trepidation.  She is looking forward to relatives coming to her sisters wedding in a few weeks and meeting her future brother in law.  Another daughter says it is like the fruit of the Spirit has taken over her sister's body and is being outpoured and demonstrated overwhelmingly.
Words cannot describe how awesome is our Father in Heaven.  He answers prayer in ways that bring Him honor and favorAbba El, Open the eyes of our hearts that we may see you and all that you desire to do in our lives.  May You be praised for you are great and mighty and do not withhold that which is good for your children.

Sabbath Keepers?

The only day of the week that has a blessing associated with it is the 7th day or the Sabbath.
The only day of the week that we are told in Scripture to remember is the 7th day or Sabbath.
Why are we told, commanded to remember this day specifically and no other?  This is the day Yahveh rested from all His labor.  He set it apart for a reason.  He knew we would need a rest from our week of work too.  Why else?  Ps. 37: 4 tells us:
And delight yourself in יהוה

, And let Him give you the desires of your heart.  So now we need to know what Scripture means by delighting in Yahveh.  We find that answer in Is 58:
Isa 58:13 "If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, Isa 58:14 then you shall delight yourself in יהוה. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of the earth,

So now I am brought to the question of this post.  Sabbath Keepers?  Are there reknown men of faith that were Sabbath Keepers in the recent past?

One of my daughters was reading the biography of  D. L. Moody written by his son William.
She read that he would not preach or teach on Saturday unless Yahveh specifically told him to.  As she read the biography she got the distinct impression that Mr. Moody held this day to be a special day of rest.
A couple of my other daughters had been doing some distribution of Scriptures for a company and were told of descendants of C. H. Spurgeon who have also said their preacher ancestor also held the Sabbath day Saturday in very high regard.
I do believe that this deserves a greater looking into as to their keeping of the Scriptures.  I do know that Mr. Spurgeon was against the observing of Christmas as it was pagan.

As Mr. Moody and Mr. Spurgeon were contemporaries they became fast friends also as well as George Muller.  It turns out that after the passing of Mr. Spurgeon that Mrs. Spurgeon sent one of His Bibles to Mr. Moody.
Mr. Moody frequently lent out His Scriptures for others to read and write notes in.  In one was found written the following
Justification, a change of state, a new standing before Elohim
Repentance, a change of mind, a new mind before Elohim
Regeneration, a change of nature, a new heart from Elohim
Conversion, a change of life, a new life for Elohim
Adoption, a change of family, a new relationship toward Elohim
Sanctification, a change of service, separation unto Elohim
Glorification, a change of condition, at home with Elohim

and also this:
Yashua only:
The light of Heaven is the face of Yashua
The joy of Heaven is the presence of Yashua
The melody of Heaven is the name of Yashua
The harmony of Heaven is the praise of Yashua
The theme of Heaven is the work of Yashua
The employment of heaven is the service of Yashua
the fullness of heaven is Yashua Himself
The duration  of heaven is the eternity of Yashua.

These thoughts and notes were taken from the biography of D. L. Moody by his son William.
