I Was Wrong

I remember hearing and perhaps even saying we could celebrate the Sabbath any day of the week as long as we had one day a week where we rested. I would like to correct myself. I was wrong. Who am I to declare any day acceptable when Elohim has declared a day, specifically the seventh day as a day of rest. I would be like Satan saying
"Is it true that Elohim has said,..." If we are saying our day of rest is Sunday, where in Scripture does it specifically tells us Elohim changed His mind and after 4000 years of His day being the Saturday Sabbath suddenly it becomes the first day of the week. Someone has not been listening very carefully to the wisdom of Abba.
Heb 13:8 יהושע Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Psa 89:34 "I shall not profane My covenant, Neither would I change what has gone out from My lips.

Pro 1:7 The fear of יהוה is the beginning of knowledge¹; Fools despise wisdom and discipline. Footnote: 1See 9:10, Ps. 111:10.

Someone out there may inadvertently bring to my mind the Scripture about Paul preaching at midnight and someone falling out the window as this taking place on the first day of the week.
I would like to point out to you the Hebrews of which Paul was one, and who wrote the New Testament, began their days in the evening. You can ask any real Biblical Scholar and you will receive the same answer. So, this was taking place after the Sabbath day, Saturday, at the beginning of the first day of the week. This was the Hebrew Saturday evening and they were fellowshipping together following their Sabbath rest. So this was midnight between Saturday and Sunday, not midnight on Sunday/Monday.

So, you are still left with the task of showing me in Scripture where Elohim told us His day of rest was changed to Sunday.
If you will continue to be a Berean, you can go to the Council of Nicea and find the answer as to who actually had the brains of changing the Sabbath to Sunday and it was to continue the pagan practice of sun worship in 325 AD. So, if you wanted to be persecuted or put to death you continued to keep the 7th day Sabbath. Otherwise you went with the flow and changed to worship of the sun, on Sunday.
Daniel warned us this was going to happen.

Dan 7:25 and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times¹ and law2, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time. Footnotes: 1This is another word for festivals and would include the Sabbath day. 2Changing the law amounts to lawlessness. Read in 2 Thess. 2:3-12 about "the lawless one" and the "lawlessness" which would take over (indeed, it has already taken over!) in the set-apart place, and also about Messiah’s judgment upon the lawless "prophets" in Mt. 7:23, and the lawless "believers" in Mt. 13:41!

Now, if I choose to worship on the day I want isn't that the same as saying "Is it true that Elohim has said,..." The very same question Satan brought to Eve. There is no difference. I will do what I want and in the way I want and it really doesn't matter what Elohim has said. Also we are taking away from the Word of Elohim and considering what He has said as being unimportant. We are also adding to His Word by saying He really meant to tell us to worship Him and rest on Sunday, the first day. Talk about our pride and arrogance!! Hey folks I was wrong in promoting the first day of the week. It isn't about what I think. It is about what Abba Elohim says to us in His word. It is about how He wants to be worshipped. Are we even willing to put aside our false doctrines and actually be obedient to His Word.

Deu 4:2 "Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it¹, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I am commanding you. Footnote: 1See also 12:32, Prov. 30:6, Rev. 22:18-19.

Add to this verse the ones concerning the Sabbath.

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

Gen 2:3 And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made.

Exo 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.

Exo 20:9 "Six days you labour, and shall do all your work,

Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath¹ of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. Footnote: 1There are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly Sabbath.

Exo 20:11 "For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.

The only command we are specifically told to remember is this one. I wonder why? This is the one and only command we have forgotten. We put our own spin on it and call it good.
Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

We will touch on the sun god day and how Yahweh Elohim does't want to be worshipped in that way in another post. Until then be a Berean and consider to test all we have been led to believe and what Abba actually thinks about us changing what He says He wants to do things our own way.
Remember also I was wrong about the Sunday growing up, could you too possibly be wrong. Take Elohim at His Word and believe what He says and you can't go wrong.
It wasn't until I was obedient in this area that Scripture actually started to make so much more sense to me and I studied for the pastorate. If you are obedient in one area He opens up more. But it takes obedience first.

Be Berean

My next several posts will be for a friend who has a deep desire to understand. It has been mentioned that there are times I am too deep. So I am going to retrace my steps into Torah Observance for those who would like to know how I got where I am today in my beliefs.

I grew up in churchianity. I was saved and baptized by the age of 9. From there I started to preach when I was 14. Did I ever stop to question my beliefs I grew up with? No. I just accepted and believed what I was told was the way to believe. My wife grew up questioning. My kids grew up questioning. And then the unbelievable happened. I came across a passage that I told myself I couldn't preach. I was preparing for my son's graduation message. Our school passage and verse came from Isaiah 58. The last couple of verses deal with the Sabbath.

I said "I can't preach this as this isn't what I believe". Did you get that? There was something in the Scriptures I didn't believe!! Something that most preachers put there own spin on to get themselves out of believing it or truly researching it.

So many of us who attend the local church accept what is preached from the pulpit as being true to the Word Of Elohim because this man has been trained to preach and teach. One thing I am learning is to take into account those words which I heard over and over again when I was a Seminary student.

1. Scripture interprets Scripture

2. If there is disagreement in a Scripture passage with another passage in the Scriptures it is due to the persons interpretation of the passage, not the Scriptures.

Even Scripture warns us to be careful.

Mat 7:15 "But beware of the false prophets,¹ who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. Footnote: 1See v. 23
Mat 10:16 "See, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

Paul encourages us to search and see if what he says is true according to the Scriptures.

Act 17:11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, who received the word with great eagerness, and searched the Scriptures daily, if these words were so.

It was only when I began to truly believe and obey the Scriptures that they began to open up for me. Things began to come together only when I put into practice the Word that I was shown.

For me it started when I began to observe the seventh day Sabbath. Not the first day of the week Sunday.

Why?

Again let me encourage you to be a Berean.

What is the only day of the week that received the Blessing of Elohim (God)?

What is the day we are warned not to forget?

Does Elohim change?

How then did His day get changed to the first day of the week and when?

What day is given as a sign and a covenant?

Let me warn you now. If you really desire to be honest with your self and with the Scriptures change will be most difficult.

We should seriously consider: The Holidays

I don't want to tell you what or how to think about these holidays. I would ask you to seriously consider how God thinks of them. After all it is His opinion that matters and not ours. It is my opinion, that any time a church or ministry seeks to bring in the worship of other deities to the worship of the one true Elohim they enter into a dangerous practice of compromising the Gospel. To simply toss it aside and say that God understands our hearts to me is simply avoiding the question to get our own way. The main question should be What does Elohim really think. If we truly desire to please Him we will take the time and effort to understand what we are actually doing when we celebrate Christmas.

Many Christians around the world have set up their Christmas trees, bought their presents to give family and friends, and depending on which denomination they belong to, are celebrating the prophetic fulfillment of the birth of the Jewish Messiah in Bethlehem in just nine days. (Micah 5:2)
Isa 9:6 For a Child shall be born unto us, a Son shall be given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Strong Ěl, Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace.

Armenian Apostolic and Eastern Orthodox Christians, unlike Protestants, do not celebrate the birth of Yeshua HaMashiach on December 25th, due to differences between the Armenian, Julian and Gregorian calendars.

The Tanakh (Jewish Scripture), however, doesn't identify the month in which the Messiah would be born, nor does the Brit Chadashah (New Testament) identify the exact date of His birth.

Scripture does give us an indication of the time of year.

Luk 2:10 And the messenger said to them, "Do not be afraid, for look, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be to all people.

Luk 2:11 "Because there was born to you today in the city of Dawiḏ a Saviour, who is Messiah, the Master.

When Was the Messiah Born?

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.” (Luke 2:8)

Although Christmas in December is a well-established Christian tradition, Bible scholars agree that December 25th is not the true date of Yeshua’s birth.

Winter in Israel is generally too cold at night to be out shepherding flocks, and yet at the time of Yeshua’s birth, the shepherds were in the fields watching over their flocks at night.

The fact that shepherds were in the field keeping watch over their sheep at
night when Yeshua was born likely indicates that He was not born in the
winter. Some scholars even suggest the sheep were brought under cover
between November and March.

Another point to consider when determining the time of year when Yeshua (Jesus) was born is that winter in Israel is not a logical time to take a census because of the cold and rain.

Although the weather can be mild in December, snow in the Jerusalem area is a semi-frequent occurrence. Just days ago, for instance, Jerusalem even saw more than a foot of snow, causing major disruptions to transportation and power. Flooding in southern Israel also resulted in two men dying when their car was washed away.

So the fact that Yosef (Joseph) and Miriam (Mary) had gone to Beit Lechem (Bethlehem) to register for a census is a good indication that they were traveling in a warmer, drier season (Luke 2:1–5).

When they arrived, Jerusalem and Bethlehem were so crowded that no accommodations were available at the inn.

Such crowding would have been more typical during one of the three pilgrimage feasts: Pesach (Passover), Shavuot (Pentecost)or Sukkot (Tabernacles/Booths).

“While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.” (Luke 2:6–7)

With that in mind, it is likely that Yeshua was born at the end of the harvest, during the Biblical holiday of Sukkot, in fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecy that one day the Lord would "tabernacle" with His people.

“My dwelling place [mishkan—tabernacle] will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people.” (Ezekiel 37:27)

When the New Jerusalem is established, Yeshua will tabernacle with us forever:

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.” (Revelation 21:3)

Birthdays and the Culture of the Time

“The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8)

Yeshua was born into a completely Jewish, Hebraic culture where the date of one’s death was remembered and observed rather than the date of one’s birth. This could explain why we are certain of the date of His death (Passover), but not clear on the date of His birth.

How, then, did December 25th come to be celebrated as the day of Yeshua’s birth, and what is the origin of the festival of Christmas?

It was certainly not included in the early celebrations of the Christian church.

The Catholic Encyclopedia explains that “Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the Church. Irenaeus and Tertullian [early Church fathers] do not show it on their list of feasts.”

Later, when churches in different parts of the world began celebrating the birthday of Yeshua, they had various opinions as to the correct date. It was not until the latter part of the fourth century that the Roman Church began observing December 25th.

By the fifth century, it was decreed that the birth of Yeshua would be forever observed on this date, even though this was the day of the old Roman feast of the birth of Sol, one of the names of the sun-god.

Mithraism—a large, pagan, sun worship cult—fostered the celebration of December 25th as a holiday throughout the Roman and Greek worlds. This winter festival was called "the nativity" and "the Nativity of the sun."

This type of cult even reached Israel.

Semiramis, the Queen of Babylon, (also called the Queen of Heaven and Ishtar) also contaminated the Israelites’ worship of God with Baal worship (Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17).

Her influence spread far and wide because she ordered the ancient world to celebrate the birth of her son Tammuz, who was apparently believed to be the reincarnation of her son (Nimrod). She then proclaimed Tammuz to be the sun god.

Semiramis set December 25th as the date of her son's birth, who came to be associated with Baal, on the advice of her astrologers, since the sun is at its farthest point from the earth during the winter solstice.

“The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger.” (Jeremiah 7:18)

Over time, the sun god came to be worshiped throughout the ancient world on December 25th. It was a time of orgies, drunkenness, and the sacrificing of infants to the pagan god, Baal.

Because this feast was so popular among the pagan population of Greece and Rome, the date was simply adopted as the time of the birth of Yeshua by the Roman Church.

Although Christmas caroling today brings cheer to many Christians, in
their earliest beginnings, carols really had nothing to do with Christmas.
The melodies were originally written to accompany an ancient dance form
called the circle dance associated with fertility rites and pagan festivities.

Gift-giving, Saturnalia and Violence Against the Jews

Many customs associated with the season—the giving of gifts, house-to-house caroling, and the general rejoicing and festivity derived from this winter festival of Saturnalia—are a remnant of paganism that has remained attached to the Christian Church.

The Christians who first observed the birth of Yeshua on December 25th did not do so thinking that He was actually born on that day.

Because the pagan winter festival of Saturnalia was celebrated on that date in Rome, they were willing to have this pagan holiday metamorphosed into a Christian one.

Due to the pagan origin of Christmas and the violence and excess associated with it, the Puritans (Christians from the Church of England) actually banned Christmas altogether.

In the US State of Massachusetts, the observance of Christmas was illegal between 1659 and 1681. Louisiana was the first US state to institute Christmas as a holiday only as recently as 1830.

Despite its association with paganism, Christmas was, and still is, celebrated by most Christians.

Rabbis and Orthodox Jewish anti-missionaries often use this information to discredit Christianity as a pagan religion, saying that the story of the birth of Yeshua is inspired by the pagan festival celebrating the birth of the sun-god Sol.

According to this logic, the rabbis argue that Yeshua couldn't be the Jewish Messiah!

Beside the ties to Saturnalia and Mithraism that discredit the celebration of Christmas, violence against the Jews on Christmas understandably blackened the holiday among the Jewish People.

According to David Kertzer, in his book The Popes Against the Jews: The Vatican’s Role in the Rise of Modern Anti-Semitism, throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, Jewish rabbis of the ghetto in Rome were forced to wear clownish outfits and march through the city streets to the jeers of the crowd, pelted by a variety of projectile objects as part of the Saturnalia carnival (p. 74).

In 1836, the Jewish community of Rome sent a petition to Pope Gregory XVI pleading with him to stop the annual Saturnalia abuse of the Jewish community, to which the Pope responded, “It is not opportune to make any innovation.”

And on December 25, 1881, riots broke out across Poland when Christian leaders incited the Polish masses into an anti-Semitic frenzy.

On this Christmas Day, 12 Jews were brutally murdered in Warsaw, several others injured, and many Jewish women raped. As well, two million rubles worth of Jewish property was destroyed.

The Origins of Christmas Customs

Although many Christians and Messianic Jews do not celebrate Christmas because of its pagan origins, the season of Christmas is a joyous time with deep significance for many other Christians.

With the pagan origins of Christmas trees forgotten and / or dismissed as irrelevant today, many Christians consider the tree to be a symbolic reminder of how Yeshua became a curse for us by hanging on a tree.

“Yeshua redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree.’” (Galatians 3:13)

They adorn their trees with beautiful lights reminding them of how Yeshua is the Light of Life who calls us to shine His light on a dark world.

“Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light." (John 12:36)

They give gifts to each other honoring the fact that Yeshua became the ultimate gift for them.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15)

Although many consider modern-day Christmas customs helpful in sharing the joy of Yeshua and the glory of God among family, friends and neighbors, one should know the history of the traditions they keep.

While the custom of decorating a Christmas tree dates back only a few centuries, the principle behind it is ancient.

Pagans had a custom of worshiping trees in the forest (Jeremiah 7:18), or bringing them into their homes and decorating them (Jeremiah 10:3–4), and this observance was adopted by the Christian Church.

Furthermore, sacred trees as symbols of the life force were also associated with Canaanite cults.

Cylinder seals dating from the Late Bronze Age often show a worshiper standing in front of a tree.

Other seals dating from the 8th to the 10th centuries BC, which depict a tree flanked by worshipers, have been found at the Lachish, Beth Shemesh, Gibeon, Samaria, and Megiddo archaeological sites in Israel.

A drawing of a sacred tree with lily flowers being eaten by two ibex was discovered on a jar at the religious center of Kuntillet Ajrud. Gold pendants of the Late Bronze Age from Tel al-Ajjul (near Gaza) and from Ugarit show stylized trees growing out of a formalized goddess, according to The Harper Atlas of the Bible (pp.101–102).

Sexual intercourse under these so-called "holy" trees was thought to transmit the potency and vitality of the goddess. What was really being transmitted was infidelity, paganism, and prostitution:

"They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar and terebinth trees, where the shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery." (Hosea 4:13)

These female deities could well have been the Asherah or Astarte who are often mentioned in the Jewish Scriptures (Tanakh/ Old Testament) as the consort of the weather god Baal.

"The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord; they forgot the Lord their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs." (Judges 3:7)

In at least 10 Bible references, the "green tree" is associated with idolatry and false worship.

"They also set up for themselves high places, sacred stones and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every spreading tree." (1 Kings 14:23)

As well, the use of holly and mistletoe comes from Druid ceremonies. Some historians think that the Druids used mistletoe to poison their human sacrificial victim.

Kissing under the mistletoe is a synthesis of Druid sacrificial rituals with Saturnalia sexual immorality.

Redeeming the Time

"Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days." (Ephesians 5:16)

Although the date and customs of Christmas have pagan origins, this time can be redeemed by doing special mitzvot (good deeds) to help those who are feeling isolated, lost or alone while others are celebrating with friends and family.

It’s a fact that this time of the year is the hardest for many people who don’t have family or who are struggling.

We can be a "light" by bringing cheer, comfort, hope and support into the lives of friends, family, neighbors, and those less fortunate than ourselves.

This season is a good time to help single parents, widows, or anyone who has fallen upon hard times.

As for me and my household we have chosen to not celebrate pagan festivals. We have found the holy days set aside by Elohim to have so much more significant meaning. Also we learn from Scripture that worship of Abba El with adding pagan practices is something which He abhors. So, as you celebrate your festivals thing on these things and what is in the heart of Father.

A long time ago my grandfather on my mom's side gave me a large family Bible. I have decided I would like to paint it. So after quite a few tries to get it set up in a good still life, I think I finally have it. So, here it is. Drawing Near, A Heart Condition

Draw Near: We need to realize especially those who have been following what is going on with VF and DP, that people can say things and still not be who they are saying they are.

Mat 15:8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.

So, how do we know if people are really who they say they are in reference to being believers or not?

We need to weigh the or judge the fruit.
Mat 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
Mat 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Mat 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

What kinds of fruit are we looking for?
Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Fruit that comes from abiding in Messiah. Anything good that we do it is not us but comes from Messiah. We can do nothing good of ourselves. Because of this we must be directing people's attention to that of Messiah and not to ourselves.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
I will leave you with this from James as I believe it sums up what the above says.

Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Vayigash: He Drew Near

VAYIGASH (Then He Drew Near)

Genesis 44:18–47:27; Ezekiel 37:15–28; John 5:1–47

The Torah portion for this coming week is about drawing near. In light of what is happening with Vision Forum and the Doug Phillips scandal ( http://jensgems.wordpress.com/the ) study of this Torah portion will become very applicable to those of us whose lives have been affected by this man's doctrine and teaching. It is important to remember Joseph was a type of Messiah. In some earlier posts I have talked about Joseph and how each one of our steps is guided and planned by Abba El.

I am reminded from truth 3 that our

Elohim loves to take huge set backs and turn them into astonishing victories or achievements.
He has purpose and plan for our lives. A planned work for each of us to do.

So with that let us approach this next Torah portion and seek to draw near to our Abba El and His Word.

“Then Judah approached [vayigash] Joseph and said, “Please, my lord! Let your servant say something to you privately; and don’t be angry with your servant, for you are like Pharaoh himself.” (Genesis 44:18)

In last week’s Parsha, Pharaoh appointed Joseph administrator over all of Egypt after he correctly interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams regarding the seven years of plenty and seven years of famine.

During the seven years of famine, Joseph’s brothers, who about 20 years earlier had sold him into slavery, came to Egypt to buy grain.

At the end of last week's Torah portion, Joseph had not yet revealed his identity to his brothers.

Nevertheless, he did test the brothers by planting his silver cup in the sack of his youngest brother, Benjamin. After it was found in Benjamin’s possession, Joseph announced that Benjamin would be his slave.

Where in our lives are we being tested today, last week, this coming week? How does this relate to what is happening with VF? I believe it is a time to examine our own steps and where we are headed.

Are we following the teachings of Scripture or are we following the teachings of a man?

It is a time for drawing near. A time for examining our lives as to how they line up with Scripture. Examine our lives in how Abba has directed our steps to learn from those things He has purposely placed in our lives so that we may learn and grow in them.

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 3:17 that the man of Elohim might be fitted, equipped for every good work.

As we look at all the adversity placed in Joseph's life and the fact that he overcame that to become the person Abba designed him to be, how have we responded to those same things placed in our own lives to become the person Abba has designed us to be?

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah יהושע unto good works, which Elohim prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

This should be a very interesting week of study based on our drawing near to our Abba El and His Word.

Before and After Pictures.

Ok I have some before and after pictures of my renovations of our future home while we travel. I will start with our living room/master bedroom. The curtains and cushion covers are yet to be done.

the corner cabinet was replaced with shelves from the floor up. There are also shelves now above the window on the left. Now for the kitchen/dining area.

Now down the hall as seen in the photo before the dining area is the refrigerator and bathroom. after the hall it used to be a full size bed. This has now been made into shelves and an additional small fridge.

Now the storage and the back bunks for the girls and the tour is done until I have curtains and cushion covers to add.

These last two are the bottom bunk. I built some joist boxes that fit in between the joists from the upper bunk. You can see the 3 blocks for the hasp to keep them closed.
