The Name

This morning I am posting as to the importance of the name of our Savior and our Father.  I read this and as it is copy righted I will post the link here.

In research I have found there is very little significance to the name "Jesus".  Whereas the name Yahshua means "salvation" or "Yah's Salvation".  Others have also hinted at the possibility of the name Jesus being associated with the pagan god Zeus.  Scripture tells us we are to abstain from all appearance of evil.  Scripture also tells us not to mix the worship of pagan deities with that of our Father Yahweh Elohim.  It is an abomination to Him to mix any type of pagan practice in worship of Him.  So, what does this mean for me and my household?  We use the proper names for Abba El, our Father in heaven and for His son Yahshua our Messiah.  Also we decline from mixing the pagan practices of churchianity with the Holy days of our Father.  Scripture also tells us to worship the Father in spirit and in truth.  There is absolutely no truth in Messiah being in Christmas or Easter.  If you truly desire to worship Father with these things in mind you would do well to celebrate His Holy days of Trumpets, Passover and Unleavened bread.
Folks, I implore you to do the research for yourself rather than trusting to the teachings of your local church and those who are steeped in churchianity.  Seek for truth and you shall be amazed at what you find.

What do we find of interest in these verses?  The command comes from Yahweh Elohim as a code of wisdom for us.  To simply toss this away as those in churchianity tell us would not be considered wise.  It is this command we find in Proverbs addressed in this way

Pro 1:7 The fear of יהוה is the beginning of knowledge¹; Fools despise wisdom and discipline. Footnote: 1See 9:10, Ps. 111:10.
Pro 2:6 For יהוה gives wisdom; Out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

If we blatently toss out His commands and say they don't pertain to me because of the law of grace then we are saying we don't want what Abba Elohim gives us.

The commands of Elohim are Pure.  They are what help to bring cleansing.  They teach us the wisdom of our Abba and show us what pleases and displeases Him.   Doesn't He desire our obedience rather than our sacrifice?

Pro 4:5 "Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, and do not turn away From the words of my mouth.

To turn away from His commands (including the 4th) is to turn away from His very words to His Bride, His set-apart people.

It is the command of Elohim that brings our chaotic world into order.  It fills our physical, mental and spiritual eyes with order and I should put in that order brings His Shalom to our lives.

I thing we find in

Psa 19:8 The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes;
If we take this together with the words of the previous verse about guarding the Torah something wonderful takes place in our hearts.  They become a joy unspeakable to us as He then begins to show Himself faithful and true to His word.  In our household as we let go of those things the world holds dear to their hearts (I am speaking of their holidays) and as we delve deeper into the celebration of His Holy days and feasts and the instructions of Elohim there is so much more of a realization that what we are doing is more joyful and life changing. 
I would suggest if you really want to know the heart of Abba, if you really want to understand His word and what He desires for your life start by changing the day you worship Him.  Start by starting to honor the day He Himself set aside for rest.  It will truly change your life.  Let me leave you with these couple of verses that helped to change my life
Psa 37:4 And delight yourself in יהוה, And let Him give you the desires of your heart.
My question with this verse was "what does it mean to delight yourself in Yahweh?

Isa 58:13 "If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

When we follow the instuctions of Elohim for His bride (bridal covenant) something wonderful happens.  We learn that He is trustworthy and worthy of worship.  How does this happen?  I think if we look into Deuteronomy 7 we can find the answer for that.Deu 7:9 "And you shall know that יהוה your Elohim, He is Elohim, the trustworthy Ěl guarding covenant and kindness for a thousand generations with those who love Him, and those who guard His commands,

 It is only when we chose to guard His instructions to us that He then promises to guard us

In this way we learn that He is not only trustworthy but that His Word is truth and He is true to His word.  Faith comes in here.  We must believe as we continue to be obedient to His instructions that He will then be true to His Word.  And just how does this give us wisdom?  We can find the answer to that in the Proverbs.  Pro 1:7 The fear of יהוה is the beginning of knowledge¹; Fools despise wisdom and discipline.

If we desire this wisdom, it comes through the fear of Yahweh.  If we truly fear or esteem  Him we will desire to be obedient to His instructions for His set apart people.  The people He has called to be a people to Himself. 


Please note this all begins only in one way by following Torah.  Not following Torah just on the outside.  But first of all having the inner man changed through faith in the atoning work of Yahshua.  Then we are obedient out of a love for His Word.  Following Torah is done because we love Him.  It is a demonstration of that love.


If you love Me, you shall guard My commands

Joh 14:23 יהושע answered him, "If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.

Joh 14:24 "He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.

Joh 14:26 "But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you.

Joh 14:27 "Peace I leave with you – My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Do you meet the requirements?  What needs to change in your life to meet the requirements?

Torah, why stumble over it?

So then so far with the first part of verse 7 we find the Torah means so much more than just plain "law".  The Torah is that which points us in the right direction to walk for our lives. It leads us with instruction that would be wise to follow as it is Yahweh Elohim's instruction for His set-apart people.  Not only that, the Torah is PERFECT.  It is that which converts the soul.  Being perfect it is whole and without blemish.  It was never intended to provide us with our salvation by following it.  Salvation is that which can only be obtained by faith, the inward working of Abba in our hearts, minds and souls.  The Law is the outward working of our faith.  Yahshua told us in the New Testament that if we love him (having obtained our salvation through faith) we will obey His commands (showing our faith through following His instructions for our set-apart lives).
The LAW brings us back or converts us to following the instructions of our Abba or Heavenly Daddy.  Why then would we be so quick to say the Law does not apply to us today?  It is the instructions given to us by our Father who is in Heaven.  They are dear to His heart.  If we truly desire to please Him then why tell ourselves we don't have to follow His instructions?  So many people enjoy the Psalms of David yet they stumble over the many times he says how precious is the Torah, law, instructions. 

Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers,

Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night.
