The Problem

Gal 1:6 I marvel that you are so readily turning away from Him who called you in the favour of Messiah, to a different ‘Good News,’1 Footnote: 12 Cor. 11:4.
Gal 1:7 which is not another, only there are some who are troubling you and wishing to pervert the Good News of Messiah.
Gal 1:8 However, even if we, or a messenger out of heaven, bring a ‘Good News’ to you beside what we announced to you, let him be accursed.

What is the true problem that Paul is addressing to the assemblies in Galatia?  If we are to understand the rest of this book it is very important that we truly understand what Paul is addressing in this passage before us at this point.  True understanding rides upon this right here.

The Assembly of Galatia was abandoning the heart of the gospel message.  What is the heart of the message?  It is the very process and way of salvation itself!

Gal 1:7 which is not another, only there are some who are troubling you and wishing to pervert the Good News of Messiah.
Gal 1:8 However, even if we, or a messenger out of heaven, bring a ‘Good News’ to you beside what we announced to you, let him be accursed.

Gal 1:9 As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone brings a ‘Good News’ to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed.

We see here an overemphasis that the people at Galatia were missing something extremely important.  They should be recognizing the importance of the true gospel message, that of which Paul taught.  There is not a different message that is important enough to take its place.  My mind goes back to Messiah's teaching of being careful of wolves in sheep's clothing.
Mat 7:14 "Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed1 which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Footnote: 1Or the way is afflicted.
Mat 7:15 "But beware of the false prophets,1 who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. Footnote: 1See v. 23
Mat 7:16 "By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
What is this doctrine from wolves?
Paul goes on and gives a warning
Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or Elohim? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I should not be a servant of Messiah.
Gal 1:11 And I make known to you, brothers, that the Good News announced by me is not according to man.
Gal 1:12 For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but through a revelation of יהושע Messiah.
Gal 1:13 For you have heard of my former way of life in Yehuḏaism, how intensely I persecuted the assembly of Elohim, and ravaged it.

Paul has here stated he received his message not from men but from Messiah Himself.  In this way Paul is declaring the perverted message that the assemblies of Galatia are now receiving is a false doctrine of men.  This doctrine does not please Elohim but pleases men.

We need to ask ourselves some questions as to what is really being taught by most churches today as well.
1.  If the whole point of Galations is to teach against the Law of God, why is Paul then stating here that he is teaching against the doctrines of men?
 2.  Where does the Law of Elohim come from?
3.  Does Yahweh Elohim's Law come from Elohim or from men?
Ponder these questions and we will continue more later.
