Beliefs

For a friend who I have been pming.  And if there is any one else out there who would like to know.  May Elohim our creator richly bless you as you seek to follow Him.
Doctrinal view
We are a family of faith holding the Scriptures in the original languages to be the inspired, inerrant Word of Yahweh Elohim (Lord God). We believe Yahshua (Jesus) of Nazareth is the Anointed one, the Messiah. We are led by and filled with the Ruach HaKodesh (Set-apart/Holy Spirit).
It is our desire to serve Yahweh Elohim with our whole hearts through a family ministry of encouragement and discipleship. We desire to live each day loving our Creator, Yahweh, and His Son, Yahshua, the Messiah whom Yahweh sent to save us. Our goal is to rediscover the truth that was taught to Yahshua's disciples in the first century and restore it to the Body of Believers today. We demonstrate our love for Him by being obedient to Torah (A Father's instructions) to the best of our ability and loving our fellow man.
We believe the Torah is still valid for believers today. The Commandments are to set us apart as being obedient children and the Feasts of Yahweh Elohim are eternal, The Brit Hadasha (New Testament or renewed covenant) is commentary on the Torah. All Scripture must be in harmony. If there is a seeming contradiction, it lies in the interpretation, not in the Scriptures. The interpretation must therefore change to be in alignment with the rest of Scripture.
We believe it is of utmost importance for parents to teach their children at home (Deut. 6 and Psalm 1:1-2), thus incorporating a Hebrew mindset of life into the family rather than a Greek mindset. In this way we place limits on the worldly influence scoffers have on the tender lives of these precious little ones entrusted into our care. We advocate for home schooling and strive to help those seeking this direction for their lives.
We are not members of any one organization. The only authority we submit to is our Creator as revealed by the Written Word. Over the centuries, traditions of men have been embroidered onto the tapestry of faith. We have made a conscious decision to return to a scripture based lifestyle. Although this causes much heartache as we seek to diligently change our behavior, attitudes and lifestyle we have also experienced the joy and peace that comes from a lifestyle of obedience.
We believe the Torah teaches there shall be one law for the Israelite and the same law for the foreigner, i.e., those wishing to attach themselves to the House of Israel. In crossing over from a western Gentile mentality to a lifestyle based on Torah one needs to begin to think from a Hebraic mindset. There are not two laws, one for the Jew and one for the Gentile (Goyim - outside the covenant).
We are Torah Observant Believers. We keep the commandments out of a desire to demonstrate our love and devotion for our Creator / Redeemer / King. We do not obey to earn salvation as salvation is by faith alone. We do not make our Creator obliged to us in any way through our obedience. In our family, traditions of men are clearly explained as such and are not presented as commandments. This is what the Pharisees did and what Messiah taught against. We realize that some traditions are useful in helping us remember Torah or the history of the House of Israel. In all things we must study to show ourselves approved, and prove all things and hold fast to that which is right and good.
We observe the 7th day Sabbath. We keep the Feasts of Yahweh Elohim as listed in the Book of Leviticus. We do not celebrate Christmas or Easter. We do not engage in the traditional Christian feasts or worldly celebrations such as St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's day, Halloween, Thanksgiving or New Years. We observe only the scriptural feasts such as those listed in Leviticus 23. The feast days of Purim which is found in the Book of Esther, and Hanukkah which is found in John chapter 10 as well as in the apocryphal books of the Maccabees are recognized as episodes of Yahweh's saving grace.

We use the names of Yahweh Elohim (Lord, God) rather than the titles given in the Scriptures to address our Heavenly Father. We occasionally refer to Him as Abba El or daddy Elohim. We use the Hebrew name Yahshua for Jesus which means Yah is Salvation.
Isa 52:6 “Therefore My people shall know My Name, in that day, for I am the One who is speaking. See, it is I.”
It is in following the Scriptures, the instructions given to us by Elohim, we are enabled to live set-apart lives.
Paul tells us in 2Ti 3:14
But you, stay in what you have learned and trusted, having known from whom you have learned,
2Ti 3:15 and that from a babe you have known the Set-apart Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for deliverance through belief in Messiah יהושע.
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 3:17 that the man of Elohim might be fitted, equipped for every good work.

Funding

This goes against my grain but I am in a difficult place.  My family is in need.
 1.   of my finding a job and
 2.  Of affordable housing.
As I was released from my employment in which housing was included.  We must be out of our current house by the end of Jan.

We currently know of a couple of possibilities for housing but both need work.  One has had over 100 responses on Craigs list and I don't know that he will allow us if I don't have work.  That remains to be seen.

Another place is for $8,000.00.  It has a hole in the roof and don't know about the inside yet.  Either way. There is quite a bit of work involved which takes money to fix.  I am willing to do the work.  I am also willing to find work that will support us and have been diligently looking.  All this being said I have put out a fleece so to speak.  I have set up a go fund me account.  If you or anyone else is interested in keeping us going that is fine.  If not, that is ok too.  I know life and it can be difficult for all of us.  The moneys received would go toward supplies in fixing either place and putting our van in better working order.

Most other housing for rentals would be over $500 per month and it seems most of the work only pays less than $11.00 an hour closer to $9.  With a large family I don't believe that would be affordable.

Warning: this is a rant.

Back on the 8th I was let go from my job.  Since being hired my job changed so that I was placed under a supervisor.  This supervisor has not always been honest regarding my work, I believe there was deceit and power grabbing involved.  There was quite a bit more stress working under him and my job became less enjoyable.  There is so much more involved here than the little bit I have said.  We are in need of your prayers as I seek work that would meet our financial needs and also affordable housing for my family.  The camper needs work before we would be able to move back into that and at this time it is not affordable.  If any of you out there have some solutions for us we are more than willing to listen to them and seek where we should go.

My wife recently posted this on facebook
Warning - this is a rant. I am so sick of people who call themselves Christians who engage in inappropriate behavior and then lie about it. I am tired of my family being hurt because of it. This is the third time in 15 months. I know that God will judge them and have seen some of that already with the first two situations. I am no longer going to keep quiet to protect the people who have wronged my family, and yes, a couple of them from last year are on my friends list. But I don't care anymore. If they don't like what they read, they can unfriend me, because truly, they weren't friends. I'm also tired of Christians who stand by, don't question, and don't stand up to the ones who tell the lies, but would rather protect themselves, their friendships, and their jobs. That is not integrity and God calls us to integrity.
So if you want to have a relationship with my family, you had better be willing to live uprightly and honestly in your dealings with us, not get power-hungry, or money-hungry, better be willing to stand up for others when you witness someone being wronged. If you're not willing to live this way, then you need to stay away from my family. I'm tired of seeing my children have friendships, adopted "grandparents", that then turn and treat them terribly. My children are learning that it's not safe to trust people, and that is so wrong!

Amazing Week

We have truly had an amazing week for the start of this years Hanukkah.  It began with the birth of our second grandchild.  I took Laurie over to our daughter's on Sunday and left her there to head back home to get some more work in.  The midwives arrived and then decided Sarah would not be giving birth that day and it would be a couple of days yet.  So they too left.  Well, Laurie then became Sarah's labor coach and the rest became history.  From the time the midwives left and the time Sarah gave birth was four hours.   Laurie was able to do the delivery and catch Taliyah Margiah before the midwives were able to make it back.  Taliyah Margiah means Yahweh's restful morning dew.  Laurie and a couple of the girls spent the week there helping out and allowing Sarah to get the rest she needed.

Hanukkah, festival of lights.
