Prairie Fire

Ok, I am playing catch up now with pictures from things that have happened over the last couple of months.  Today I am posting pictures of a grass fire.  The field behind our house was purposely set on fire so that a different type of grass could be planted.  In a different corner of the ranch property another field was set.  I could see the smoke from this one over 30 miles away.  I was on my way to pick up supplies for the barns at the time.
For the field behind the house, Laurie and the girls were at home and took pictures.  I kind of think this was what a prairie fire would look and feel like.  Laurie said even inside they could actually still feel the heat from the fire which ended about 50 yards from the house.  The smoke was overwhelming and the speed at which it traveled was incredible.

John, thank you for the encouraging word. Unfortunately Father moved us about 5 hours away, north to Missouri. He provided a steady job to help meet our needs and also the ability to minister to those I work with. If you are interested in getting in touch with my my email is mykrace@yahoo.com. I could not access your email from your comment but would love to correspond with you. May our Father bless you as you seek to serve Him.
